I have thirteen years experience as a writer, editor and analyst, working mostly in print but also online. As of November 2008, I've been working as a freelance journalist, specialising in technology from both business and consumer perspectives (although most of my commissions have focused on the business side).
I've a keen interest in 'green' IT too, particularly legislation (UK, EU and US), carbon management, and sustainability accounting (the latter including waste and water, and offsetting).
Essential skills such as working to budget, to deadline, and writing the sort of copy that sells titles on the newsstand, have been honed over the years I've worked on the staff of a number of leading computing titles. I can also provide extensive experience writing about products (reviews, features and news) as well as the issues surrounding technology, and general science/interest type features.
