I am a freelance copywriter, proofreader, magazine editor, and PR consultant with 20 years experience communicating the right message using the right words to the right target audience in the most appropriate style.
My background was originally in technical journalism - explaining complex concepts to non-technical people - I have edited almost 200 magazine editions including newsstand, TV membership and commercial in-house. The journalistic background means that deadlines hold no fear for me and I specialise in producing viable copy to tight deadlines. I can also run the entire magazine production cycle from idea to finished issue.
For the web, my copy is designed to work both at the level of the reader but also optimised for the search engines (with fully researched keywords) to help you get the best position.
I have worked extensively in PR: writing and issuing press releases, organising product launches; creating, coordinating and running exhibitions with up to 5000 attendees over four days at venues including the London Hilton and the Wenbley Conference Centre.
If your copy is already written and you want proofreading with or without editing, my editorial experience comes to the fore. In recent years I have proofread and edited three books and two dissertations exceeding 100,000 words on subjects as diverse as philosophy, computer security systems, kayaks, and the autobiography of a (reformed) american drug-dealer. In all cases preserving the voice of the author.
I have my own contacts for print and web design, print, photography and SEO, if required but will work with existing suppliers as needed.
